Support Regina & District Labour Council in New Community Support Program

November 15, 2023

Please support our new Community Support Program for Regina and area.

The RDLC understands that with the rising costs of the plates offered to us for the Unions of Regina Christmas Dinner ($40/plate and $20/child) it is no longer feasible to hold the same dinner we have in the past. Adapting the event to better serve the community is a positive step, and we are seeking continued support for the revised Community Support Program. Thank you for your dedication to helping the community over the past 23 years!

The most vulnerable in our community are struggling to meet their basic needs including one of the main needs for food and getting fed, not only at Christmas time but on a daily basis.

We here at the Regina and District Labour Council would like to continue to help meet the needs of the most vulnerable and needy in our community; the Christmas Dinner will now look differently. A sub-committee has been struck to research and reach out to community organizations, some of which we are already in contact with; to aid, support and mostly volunteer with helping hands to serve. Equally will be reaching out to our Affiliates to help serve at different times and places throughout the year, we will be coordinating volunteers to support this work.

We will partner with community organizations that are already in place doing this important work, will help to organize and coordinate volunteers to be a support.

In order to meet our plan and provide this service in our community, we rely on the generosity of our affiliates for your continued support. Without the assistance of community-minded Unions like you, we wouldn’t be able to serve those in our community.

We are asking that you make a financial contribution for our new Community Support Program for Regina and area to help the less fortunate in our community. Regina & District Labour Council would like to thank you in advance for your contributions, your generosity will make a difference in the lives of people in our community by allowing us to continue to do this important work.

Thank you in advance for your support!
